Located in the heart of Mill Bay in the beautiful Cowichan Valley, Bayview Bed & Breakfast offers a cozy and peaceful retreat for travelers, families, and small boutique events. Just a few blocks from the Mill Bay Marina, local shops, and Brentwood College, our home provides easy access to the best of Vancouver Island’s natural beauty. Whether you’re here for a relaxing weekend getaway, a professional stay, small private events and extended stay, Bayview offers comfort, stunning surroundings, and warm hospitality.
Our Property Details
Bayview Bed and Breakfast has three levels:
- The ground level has the garden suite, our garage, and our personal space.
- The second floor is the main floor with the Cozy Queen Room, a communal space, private kitchen, and laundry.
- The third floor offers the Deluxe Queen Room with a half bath and the King Room with a full bathroom (spa tub coming soon).
Please note that the main and top floors may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues due to stairs. Older children are welcome, but young children and pets are only allowed in the garden suite for safety reasons.
Bayview Bed & Breakfast – Main Floor Overview
The main floor of Bayview Bed & Breakfast offers a perfect blend of communal and private spaces, ideal for relaxation and comfort during your stay.
- Location: The second floor of Bayview Bed & Breakfast is considered the main floor.
- Communal Areas: Includes an outside patio, kitchen lounge, island seating area, kitchen workspace, dining room, sunroom, and living room.
- Private Areas: Includes the Cozy Queen Room and bathroom, kitchen, pantry, and laundry room.
- Features:
- Kitchen Lounge: Comfy sofa and reclining chair for relaxing.
- Dining Room: Can host 6 to 8 guests; can also be used for small meetings or projection displays.
- Sunroom: Fully enclosed with comfortable chairs.
- Living Room: Equipped with a Lazyboy sofa, reclining chairs, a game table, books, puzzles, maps, and a library.
- Quiet Hours: From 10 PM to 7 AM (spring and summer) and 9 PM to 7 AM (fall and winter).
Deluxe King Room
The Deluxe King Room is perfect for those seeking a spacious and luxurious retreat with views of the surrounding forest and a full spa bathroom.
- Room Features:
- King-sized bed, two side tables, a dresser, and a full-length closet.
- Workspace: Includes a desk and office chair.
- Bathroom: Spacious en suite full bathroom with a spa tub, a small shower (40” x 27”), vanity, and toilet.
- View: Faces the forested area at the back of the property, offering a dark, cozy atmosphere for sleep-ins or brightens with open blinds.
Deluxe Queen Room
The Deluxe Queen Room provides a bright and welcoming atmosphere with a comfortable queen bed and a convenient kitchenette.
- Room Features:
- Queen-sized bed with two nightstands, a dresser, and a clothes rack for storage.
- Bathroom: The room has an en suite half bath with a vanity and toilet, while guests use the main floor bathroom shower.
- Kitchenette: Small refrigerator, microwave, tea kettle, French press, and a seating area for two.
- View: Sunlight beams through the windows, overlooking the front garden.
- Ambiance: Bright and cheerful during the day, can be cozy with blinds closed.
Cozy Queen Room
Our top floor at Bayview Bed and Breakfast offers two beautifully appointed suites designed for relaxation and comfort. Whether you prefer a bright and cheerful space or a cozy, quiet retreat, both suites provide a welcoming atmosphere for a restful stay.
- Room Features:
- Queen-sized bed with two nightstands, a dresser, and a closet.
- Location: Located off the hallway leading to the living room.
- Noise: May experience light noise from the living room during the day until quiet hours (10 PM to 7 AM in spring/summer and 9 PM to 7 AM in fall/winter).
- Access: Perfect for those looking for a quieter, more intimate room with simple comforts.
Garden Suite
The Garden Suite offers a private one-bedroom suite on the ground level with a full kitchen, perfect for longer stays or families.
- Location: Ground level (easily accessible with no steps from parking).
- Room Features:
- One bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a large closet.
- Living room with a pullout sofa for additional guests.
- Kitchen: Full kitchen, small dining area, washer/dryer.
- Bathroom: Full bathroom with a walk-in shower (small threshold).
- Accessibility: No steps to the front door and inside the suite (ideal for guests with mobility issues).
- Outdoor Spaces: Guests can access the upstairs patio and gazebo.
